Hi! I’m Monica Selden, CEO & Founder of Selden Consulting and Selden Café.

I’ve spent over 15 years in New York City’s finance world—working in public finance, structured finance, treasury, and project management with teams at Wells Fargo and Mizuho. I love taking complex ideas and turning them into simple, clear solutions.

My journey also led me to Colombia, where I launched a specialty coffee export business (now in the U.S. too!). I handled everything from logistics to building relationships with farmers and distributors, and I still love every part of that work.

Education is another passion of mine. I’ve taught advanced ESL in corporate settings and have hands-on K–12 classroom experience as a homeroom teacher. Helping students and professionals feel confident communicating is one of my favorite things to do.

And recently, I became Microsoft Certified in Business Analysis (November 2025)—giving me even more tools to help clients streamline processes and reach their goals.

At heart, I’m a problem-solver who enjoys learning, creating, and helping people and businesses grow.

    Originally from the United States, a Virginia native, Mr. Karl Seckinger has been living in Bogota Colombia since 2015. For the last 8 years, Mr. Seckinger has been teaching English as a second language to students via private tutoring online, at different private institutions, and Embassies in Bogota, Colombia. Additionally, he is an experienced corporate trainer and Life Coach with over 30 years of sales and customer service experience.

    Karl is a certified TEFL & TOEFL instructor.
